How to use India Compliance (GST API) in Bebaak

Connect to the GST and e-invoice systems through India Compliance: readiness per GSTIN, GSTIN check, GSTR-2B download (including imports / IMPG) and GSTR-1 upload, plus IRN and e-way bill buttons on invoices, delivery challans and branch transfers.

Who can do this: Organisation admins (Client Admin).

Steps

Step by step

  1. Switch it on for your organisation: Settings → Taxes & compliance → India Compliance (GST API). It is off by default.
  2. Open Tax & Compliance → GST → India Compliance (API). For each GSTIN you see whether the e-invoice / e-way bill user and the GST-portal (returns) user are set up, and the steps still needed.
  3. GSTIN check: enter a GSTIN to see its status. New customers and suppliers with a GSTIN are checked when saved; a cancelled or suspended GSTIN can be refused (setting). If the API is down, saving still works.
  4. GSTR-2B: pick the month and download; enter the OTP if the portal asks. Imports (IMPG / IMPGSEZ) are matched with your import IGST credit entries by bill of entry and port code.
  5. GSTR-1: upload, check the summary, then proceed to file on gst.gov.in with DSC / EVC and enter the ARN back in Bebaak.
  6. On a submitted invoice or delivery challan: Generate IRN now / Cancel IRN (within 24 hours, with an IRP reason) and Generate e-way bill now / Cancel e-way bill. On a branch transfer: IRN for the transfer tax invoice and its e-way bill.

Tips

  • Sandbox is shown as a banner: IRN and e-way bill work with test documents; GSTR-2B and GSTR-1 are not available in sandbox.
  • Filing itself always stays on the GST portal with your DSC or EVC.
