How to create an e-invoice or e-way bill file

Download the official e-invoice or e-way bill JSON for an invoice or delivery challan, upload it on the government portal yourself, then record the reply so the IRN, QR and validity print.

Who can do this: Admins and Accountants. Viewers can open it but not change anything.

Steps

Step by step

  1. Open the submitted invoice or delivery challan.
  2. Choose E-invoice → Download JSON (or E-way bill → Download JSON). Bebaak checks the fields first and tells you what is missing.
  3. Upload the file on the IRP or e-way bill portal yourself.
  4. Back in Bebaak, choose Record IRP reply (or Record e-way bill no.) and paste the IRN and acknowledgement, or the e-way bill number and validity.
  5. Print the invoice: the IRN, signed QR code and e-way bill details now appear on it.

Tips

  • Bebaak does not connect to the IRP or e-way bill portal on its own (unless your admin set up API mode with your own India Compliance account in Settings → E-invoice).
