How to claim GST credit without a supplier bill
Bank charges, payment-gateway and card fees, IGST on a bill of entry and reverse-charge self-invoices carry GST but no ordinary purchase bill. This page splits the GST, posts the entry and checks it against GSTR-2B.
Who can do this: Admins and Accountants. Viewers can open it but not change anything.
Steps
Step by step
- Open GST → Credit without a bill.
- Choose the kind: bank charges, gateway / card fees, import (bill of entry) or reverse charge.
- Enter or import the lines — date, supplier (bank, gateway or customs), taxable value and GST — or pick them from the bank statement.
- Save: Bebaak posts the expense or inventory cost and the input credit separately.
- Open the 2B check: lines found in GSTR-2B are marked matched; the rest stay on a watch list until they appear.
Tips
- Give your bank your GSTIN — otherwise bank charges never reach your GSTR-2B.
- Only IGST (and cess) on imports is credit; customs duty goes to cost.
