How to set up the approval authority matrix

Delegation of financial powers: who can approve what, by role, amount band and entity, with automatic routing up the hierarchy.

Who can do this: Organisation admins (Client Admin).

Steps

Step by step

Settings → Approvals & delegation → Authority matrix (delegation of financial powers).
Add rows: role (e.g. Finance manager), document type, amount band (e.g. up to ₹1 lakh, ₹1–10 lakh, above ₹10 lakh) and entity or branch.
Set the reporting hierarchy so a document above a person's band moves up automatically (manager → CFO → director).
Save. Bebaak routes each document to the lowest role whose band covers the amount, then up the chain if required.
Print or export the matrix for your board or auditors.
