Step by step
- Standard cost comes from the BOM: components at their valuation rate plus operations.
- Actual cost comes from the work order: material actually consumed, operation time and scrap.
- Make → Overview → Variance lists work orders with the biggest differences.
- Investigate material over-use, scrap or price changes.
