How to check your migration against your old trial balance
After moving to Bebaak, compare your old system's trial balance with Bebaak account by account.
Who can do this: Admins and Accountants. Viewers can open it but not change anything.
Steps
Step by step
- In your old system export the trial balance for the cut-over date (in Zoho Books: Reports → Trial Balance → export CSV or Excel).
- Accountant → Trial balance check. Set Trial balance as of to the same date.
- Upload the file. If columns aren't detected, name them.
- Read Accounts matching and Need attention. Each line shows your old balance, the Bebaak balance and the Difference.
- For an account marked Different, open its General Ledger to find the missing or duplicated entry. Export CSV to work through it with your CA.
