How to set society rules
Billing rules, interest and rebate, GST, funds and ledgers, request types, gate and privacy.
Who can do this: Organisation admins (Client Admin).
Steps
Step by step
- Society → Settings → Billing: billing cycle, Due after (days), Grace days, Interest on arrears % p.a. (simple) within the Bye-law cap, Early-payment rebate %, Non-occupancy cap % and bank details on bills.
- GST: GST rate % and Exempt up to, per member per month.
- Charge heads and meter tariffs (telescopic slabs).
- Funds and ledgers: each fund (sinking, repair…) has its own ledger.
- Request types: documents to attach, Fee ₹, Approved by (positions, in order) and Decide within (hours).
- Gate and privacy: visitor record retention and how a resident must answer a walk-in; quorum % for the general body and committee.
