Items, stock & banking
Items are the goods and services on every invoice, bill and order. Banking keeps your bank and cash accounts in step with your statements.
Finding your way around
- Items: left menu → Items. Each item has HSN/SAC, GST rate, selling and purchase price and (for goods) stock on hand.
- Banking: left menu → Banking. Each bank or cash account shows its balance in the books and lines to reconcile.
8 step-by-step guides
How to use the Items list
Items are the goods and services you buy and sell, with HSN/SAC, prices and stock on hand.
How to add an item or service
Create an item once so it fills price, GST and HSN/SAC on every document.
How to change an item
Update prices, GST rate, HSN/SAC or stock settings for one item.
How to use Banking
See every bank and cash account, its balance in the books, the last statement imported and lines still to reconcile.
How to reconcile a bank account
Match each bank statement line to a payment, receipt or journal in the books — or categorise it — so the books agree with the bank.
How to import a bank statement
Bring statement lines in from a CSV or Excel download from your bank.
How to record a bank line that isn't in the books
Turn a statement line (bank charges, a customer receipt, a vendor payment) into an entry in one step.
How to add a statement line by hand
Add a single bank line when you don't have a file to import.
