How to work on a contract (Contract 360)

Everything about one contract on one page: request, drafts, negotiation, approvals, final draft, signed copy, reconciliation, obligations, amendments, renewal or termination, and linked disputes.

Who can do this: People with a DealFlow role (Legal, Finance, Business owner, Management). Read-only members can look but not change anything.

Steps

Step by step

  1. Open the contract from DealFlow → Contracts.
  2. Drafts: start from an approved template or upload a draft (.docx, .txt or PDF). Each upload becomes the next version (v0.1, v0.2 …) with who sent it.
  3. Negotiation: log each point — our position, their position and the outcome. Internal comments stay separate from notes the counterparty may see.
  4. Send for approval. Approvers are chosen by your approval rules (value, risk, deviation, type). Changing material terms after approval sends it back to negotiation.
  5. Once approved, Lock final draft, send it for signature, and upload the signed original with signatories, dates and stamp duty details.
  6. Reconcile the signed copy (see Signed-copy reconciliation). After that the contract is Active and its obligations and renewal alerts run.
FAQs

Questions

Can DealFlow e-sign?
Not yet. Signing is on paper or in your own e-sign tool; you upload the signed copy. Your preferred provider can be recorded in setup for later.
Does it create invoices?
With Bebaak Books, each billing milestone of an active contract creates one draft invoice or bill; GST and taxes are completed in Books.
