How to check a signed copy against the approved draft

Make sure what was signed is what was approved: capture the signed terms, compare them field by field and close every difference.

Who can do this: People with a DealFlow role (Legal, Finance, Business owner, Management). Read-only members can look but not change anything.

Steps

Step by step

  1. DealFlow → Signed-copy reconciliation lists contracts signed but not reconciled (with ageing), open variances and contracts missing the executed original.
  2. Open a contract and fill in the key terms from the signed copy on the blank sheet, and tick the checklist.
  3. Click Compare: every difference from the approved final draft becomes a variance with its importance.
  4. Minor differences can be accepted with a note; material ones go for fresh approval.
  5. When all variances are closed, click Complete reconciliation — the contract becomes Active and the signed terms drive obligations and alerts.
