How to choose your business type
Your business type decides which apps are suggested, your default chart of accounts, item settings and which menu groups open first.
Who can do this: Organisation admins (Client Admin).
Steps
Step by step
- In set-up step 2, read the one-line description under each option.
- Trading / distribution: stock, credit customers and suppliers — suggests Core Business + Cash + Tax.
- Retail shop: counter billing, UPI and cash — suggests the Retail bundle with Counter.
- Manufacturing: BOMs, work orders, job work — suggests the Manufacturer bundle with Make. Fashion / apparel adds sizes and colours and Loom.
- Services / consulting: time and fees, TDS on receipts — suggests Books, Sell and Tax.
- E-commerce / D2C: channel margins and CAC — adds Nazar. Exporter / importer: adds Trade. Housing society: hands over to Society set-up.
- Choose one and click Continue. You can add or remove apps on the next step.
