How the first-time set-up (onboarding) works
When an organisation signs in for the first time, a guided set-up asks for your entity type, business type, company details, plan, users, logos and the Client Terms — and prepares your books to match.
Who can do this: Organisation admins (Client Admin).
Steps
Step by step
- Sign in as the organisation admin. The set-up opens automatically on first sign-in.
- Step 1 — Entity type: choose how your business is registered (see "How to choose your entity type"). This sets your compliance calendar and which statutory registers apply.
- Step 2 — Business type: choose the closest description (trading, retail, manufacturing, fashion, services, e-commerce, exporter/importer, housing society). Bebaak pre-ticks the apps and bundle that usually fit.
- Step 3 — Company details: legal name, GSTIN (if registered), PAN, address and financial year start.
- Step 4 — Plan: confirm the apps or bundle and the number of users (see "How to choose a plan").
- Step 5 — Users: invite colleagues and your CA now, or skip and do it later in Settings → Users & app access.
- Step 6 — Logos: upload your main logo; add others later (see "Logos & branding").
- Step 7 — Terms: read the key terms summary and tick to accept the Client Terms.
- You'll see Home, with the menu arranged for your business type.
FAQs
Questions
Can I change my answers later?
Yes. Company details, users, logos and plan can all be changed in Settings. Entity type changes the compliance calendar, so ask support if you need to change it after you've started.
Do I need my GSTIN to start?
No. Leave it blank if you're not registered; add it later in Settings → Organisation.
