How to raise a tax invoice
Raise a GST tax invoice for a customer — items, tax, discounts, TDS / TCS and a payment link — and send it.
Who can do this: Admins and Accountants. Viewers can open it but not change anything.
Steps
Step by step
- Sales → Invoices → New invoice (or the + button → Invoice).
- Choose the customer. Their GSTIN, place of supply and payment terms fill in; change the due date if needed.
- Pick the number series, then add items: quantity, rate, discount and the GST rate (taken from the item).
- If the customer deducts TDS or you collect TCS, tick it and choose the section — the amounts are worked out for you.
- Add an adjustment or round-off if you need one, plus notes, terms and attachments.
- Save as draft, or Save and send: the customer gets the invoice by email with your payment link (when an outgoing email account is connected).
Tips
- With no outgoing email account connected, Bebaak says "Not sent" and logs it on the invoice — it is not marked as sent.
- Need an e-invoice or e-way bill? Open the saved invoice → E-invoice / E-way bill.
